1st day: Marrakech – Erg Chagaga Dunes

Start your Marrakech to Erg Chigaga desert tour by morning departure from your riad. Travel across the Atlas Mountains and drive via the fascinating pass of Tizi-n-Tichka. All along the road, stop at panoramic viewpoints for tea breaks and photos.

After descending the Atlas Mountains, a side road leads you to Taznakht, famous for its Berber rugs craftsmanship. Next on your Marrakech to Erg Chigaga desert tour, you continue to Foum Zguid the venue for lunch. In the afternoon, you drive off-track through the varying features of the Sahara Desert.

Here in the Erg Chigaga desert, the dunes are 300 m high and are the largest in Morocco. Enjoy a relaxing glass of tea and Moroccan biscuits in the camp. At sundown, experience a sunset camel ride for one to one hour and a half.

2nd day: Erg Chagaga Dunes – Ouarzazate

3rd day: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we drive from Ouarzazate to Marrakesh. After a 30 min drive from Ouarzazate, a side road leads to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known as a backdrop to many Hollywood blockbusters. You will visit the kasbah to learn about the history and the movies that were filmed on this site.

From here, the itinerary continues along the beautiful Ounila Valley with beautiful and prosperous Berber villages, the Atlas Mountains. Shortly after, you will arrive at Kasbah Telouet, very remarkable for its Moroccan tiling and wood craftsmanship.
